Meet the Summer 2026 Interns
Six interns join Braver Angels this summer
We’re pleased to announce our newest cohort of interns. This summer Emily, Johana, Lana, Logan, Natalie, and Nora are excited to join us at Braver Angels. On projects from this very newsletter to local debate resource development and everything in between, we are grateful to have such thoughtful young people in our corner!
Debate Comms Interns
Logan Hollins
Logan is a rising sophomore from Baltimore, Maryland, currently earning his undergraduate degree from Syracuse University as a political science and public relations dual major. He joined Braver Angels because the mission excited him as someone eager to bridge the partisan divide. Logan is thrilled to join the Braver Angels Debates Team and to increase the reach of the Braver Angels message. Outside of class, Logan can be found working as a student leader, listening to a good political reform book, and spending time with friends and family.
Emily Kantner
Emily is from Richmond, Virginia, and is going into her senior at Duke University where she is earning a double major in public policy and political science and a minor in economics. She learned about Braver Angels after finding inspiration in an awesome course she took titled “How to Think in an Age of Political Polarization.” She is excited to be a part of the team and looks forward to the conversations she will have through Braver Angels this summer. In her spare time, she enjoys swimming, cycling, learning a new needlepoint stitch, and Dunkin’ coffee!
Debate Organizing Interns
Nora Miller
Nora Miller is from Cold Spring, Minnesota, and is a rising senior at Drake University, where she is pursuing degrees in American politics and international relations alongside a minor in sociology. She learned about the work of Braver Angels during the fall of her junior year from one of her professors, who encouraged her to explore the organization’s mission. In her free time, Nora enjoys cooking, kayaking, taking long walks, and spending time outdoors.
Lana Weiser
Lana has lived her whole life in New York (state) and now is entering her third year as a student at Columbia University in New York City! She is combining an American Studies major with a Religious Studies minor, while continuing her debate career on Columbia Debate Society! As a lifelong debater (coming from a family of fellow debaters), Lana was immediately attracted to Braver Angels Debates as meaningful interventions to our increasingly divisive political culture. Academic interests aside, Lana will always enjoy carefully critiquing a matcha latte & reading short stories. She looks forward to spending an impactful summer with BA!
Natalie Mendolia
Natalie is a Dartmouth College '20 graduate with a degree in linguistic and cultural anthropology. She is a former middle and high school educator and passionate political advocate, serving not only as a Braver Angels summer intern but also as the NYC Alliance communications coordinator. A born and raised New Yorker and descendants of immigrants, Natalie cherishes her own American dream and strives to make the places she inhabits better than when she arrived through faith, service, and creativity. You can find her becoming one with the corner of her favorite cafe and bookstore, dancing anywhere and everywhere, and appreciating her blessings—also, wondering how she can become the next David Brooks.
Braver Angels Media Intern
Johana Horvath
Johana is a rising junior at Oberlin College, where she studies psychology and business. As a member of the Oberlin Field Hockey Team and Oberlin Consulting Group, she enjoys working with people and hearing everyone’s story. Johana first learned about Braver Angels through a friend who is a member of her local Washtenaw County Braver Angels. She’s looking forward to contributing to digital engagement and outreach efforts as well as learning different ways to connect to people. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, and trying new movies!
